Three Flashlight Nancy Drew Books

Three new flashlight edition Nancy Drew books that I ordered recently. The backs of the books. I know that some collectors dislike the books, but I really like the yellow "flashlight edition" Nancy Drew books that were published in the 1990s. I think these are great editions to read. They are sturdy, and since they aren't worth too much I don't worry overly about damaging the books when reading them. Some people think the design of these books is somewhat ugly, but I quite like it. Most importantly, I think, these editions evoke a strong nostalgia for me: these are the Nancy Drew books that I grew up reading, since I was a child / young teenager in the 1990s. I remember seeing these books new in bookstores. As a treat, my mom would sometimes buy one for me. For more information about me and this blog, please see the About This Blog  page. I am going to start this blog with a picture of a book that I acquired about a year ago, when I was visiting my parents in New Hampshire. This is the first book of the Trixie Belden series in the new (2000s era) Random House edition. I bought this book for about $5 in a secondhand bookstore. I was quite surprised to find it, as I did not realize that the Trixie Belden books had been republished. I've since learned that the first 15 books were re-released in the new Random House editions, with new cover artwork. I really like the new Random House edition books. The cover art has been updated without taking away, in my opinion, from the spirit of Trixie and her fellow Bob-Whites. The books are glossy and sturdy and contain reproductions of original illu...
