Nancy Drew Box Set

Image
A fun Nancy Drew box set. I recently bought this wonderful box set of paperback Nancy Drew books on Australia eBay. The books were published by Armada in the 1980s. I do not generally focus on collecting box sets. However, this one was affordably priced, and I like these 1980s Nancy Drew books. Here are a few more pictures of the box: One side of the box. The other side of the box. The back of the box. The front of the box. And here are some pictures of the books that came in the box: The front covers of the books. The backs of the books. Note how two of the books are smaller in size and also have lower numbers. I wonder if these two books were switched. If anyone else has this box set, let me know if you have the same books. I may collect some other box sets when I see them at good prices. I won't pay a premium for them, though. I will pay a premium for scarce or rare books that I really want for my collection, but not for box sets. They're just not my thing to collect, alth...

First Judy Bolton Books

Image
My first two Judy Bolton books! I am very excited to have started my collection of Judy Bolton mystery books. A good friend surprised me by sending two Judy Bolton picure cover books in a parcel with a few other books. I always love picture cover books, and the artwork on these two is fabulous.  After receiving these books I read a little about the Judy Bolton series, and it sounds like a wonderful series. I really like that the books were all written by the same author and that Judy grows up some and marries. I also like Judy's black cat.  I've decided to collect the Judy Bolton series and, eventually, read the entire series. I am particularly interested in collecting the picture cover books, but I'll also buy others if they're affordable. Some of the original Judy Bolton books can be a little difficult to find, especially in picture cover format. However, the books have also been reprinted in paperback fairly recently, so perhaps I can buy some of those as well. I...

Dana Girls Library Binding Book

A library binding Dana Girls book. I don't focus on collecting library bindings too much, although like some other collectors I find them beautiful and interesting. However, I couldn't resist buying one Dana Girls library binding book when several were recently put up for sale on eBay. The book itself wasn't too expensive, but the shipping from the US to Australia was understandably a little expensive. So, I made myself select just one book to purchase out of the dozen or so that were for sale. I decided to buy this one, since it's the first book in the newer 1970s set of books and also the cover art matches the book. For this particular binding, the same cover artwork was used for all of the books. That is, other than the title of the book the cover artwork didn't change for the other volumes. Here are a few more pictures of the book: The back of the book. The spine of the book. Inside the front cover. End papers. I really love thi...
